About Us

Welcome, my name is Emily Santana-Vergara, creator and founder of Be Unik PR.

I am a Puerto Rican woman and independent entrepreneur who decided to transform a personal need into a business opportunity, adding value to local commerce.

This beautiful project began in 2016, as part of my master's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Strategy and Leadership at Ana G. Méndez University in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, where I had to create and invent a product. This is how our first magnets for holding competitor numbers ("bib numbers") were born, as I, as a runner, experienced how safety pins would open and hurt my skin.

Later, another concern arose: where could I proudly display my medals? From that need came the idea of creating a personalized medal hanger to organize and display each achievement in a special way.

We started by manufacturing them in wood and, over the years, we have incorporated new techniques and ideas that led us to develop our handmade medal hanger in PVC material, with the capacity to hold more than 45 medals. This has allowed us to work with athletes of all types of sports. It fills me with pride to be able to create memories with each person who acquires our products.

Today, 10 years later, we continue to grow with the same passion as on the first day. We offer ready-to-buy designs and custom pieces, always made with dedication, quality, and attention to detail.
